ADVICE ON ALL ASPECTS OF DEALING IN THE ARAB WORLD
FROM TRANSLATING BUSINESS CARDS TO ROYAL AUDIENCES

WELCOME
Throughout history, the Middle East has been a lucrative region for trade and industry. This is as true now as it ever was but, as any entity justly conscious of its importance, the Arab World does not suffer fools gladly. A western businessman can go there, be received very warmly and hospitably but ultimately go away with nothing. Arabia in particular is a land whose society, including commerce, is governed by strict but subtle rules steeped in culture and tradition. The problem is that the importance of good manners often prevents one who causes offence from being made aware of his misbehaviour. A good appreciation of local customs and conditions is, therefore, essential to long term prosperity. Even in the short term, a capable and experienced adviser can be of enormous service to his clients by helping them to avoid the usual pitfalls and thereby save substantial expenditure of both time and money.
